Overall administrative overhaul.

Running the complete administration of a company with a team from ConQuaestor, how fun is that! We did it for DELTA Energie, the Zeeland supplier of green electricity and gas.

In the first half of 2019, DELTA Energie was acquired by Sweden's Vattenfall. The acquisition also had consequences for the financial administration. This was still running in the Shared Services Center (SSC) of former sister company DELTA Fiber Netherlands and had to be transferred to Vattenfall's SSC. However, this migration would not take place until early 2020. And in the meantime, of course, DELTA Energie needed a smoothly running administration.

The overall Financial Administration

DELTA Energie asked ConQuaestor for help. Not just to lend a hand, but to take over the entire administration and prepare the transition to the Vattenfall environment. As senior finance manager, I took up the challenge, together with a number of junior consultants. We started at DELTA in June 2019 and now, at the beginning of 2020, we are in the final phase.

Financial administration cleanup

Through the well-secured connections, we gained access to the financial administration in the SSC of DELTA Fiber Netherlands, so we could get to work. In the process, we did much more than continue operations. In short, in a little over six months, we did a lot of clearing, cleaning and improving. From accounts payable to expenses and balance sheet files, everything was scrutinized by us. Finally, we prepared the administration for migration from DELTA Fiber Nederland's Navision environment to Vattenfall's SAP environment.

Also implement new financial administration

DELTA Energie is very satisfied with the hard work we have done and the fine cooperation. This has also given this project a tail: we have been allowed to help the administration 'land as softly as possible' at Vattenfall. Together with one of the junior consultants, I will remain involved in this until April of this year.

Nice thing about the Finance Consultancy profession

Meanwhile, I look back with great satisfaction on what we have accomplished together at DELTA Energie. It's a lot of fun to tackle financial administration in this way and to teach juniors the beauty of the profession. In the past six months, they have had to deal with all aspects of administration. I would certainly like to see more assignments like this. This is where we as ConQuaestor can really prove our added value.
