Starting as a Management Consultant

In the Young Executive Program (YEP), you will be part of a team of consultants in the field of finance. In this position, you will be a project or Program manager responsible for the successful execution of various assignments.

These assignments vary in duration (average 6 to 9 months) and are usually done on a full-time basis at a top 500 organization. It is often a two-person assignment, working with an experienced consultant or other YEPer.

You will solve complex financial (data) issues, optimize reports or make improvement proposals. Depending on the assignment, the relationship between advising, managing and implementing will vary.

 

As a YEP person, you must be able to quickly find your way around different organizations to solve management problems and help clients move forward. You go to the customer, research, analyze, recognize the problems and advise on possible solutions.

Then you work with the team on site to implement your advice. It is important to create support and to have a good feeling for mutual relations and the environment. We give you challenging assignments in which you have a lot of freedom and in which you can make a difference.

Each assignment is customized and falls under one of three areas of specialization: Financial Transformation, Data & Analytics and ESG. You will explore these areas over 2 years, during which you will be trained as a Management Consultant.

Your development as a Young Executive

1 year

An intensive year where work and learning come together. Choose a specialization in Financial Transformation or Data and be part of your group of fellow ConQuaestorians. Together you will learn the ConQuaestor Way of Working and improve your skills in tools such as ChatGPT, PowerPoint, Excel or PowerBI. You will receive extensive training in Project Management, directly applicable to assignments for clients in the public or commercial sector. Work with experienced consultants and benefit from intervisions, coaching and personal guidance to get the most out of yourself.

2 years

After a year of training and experience on various assignments, work on strengthening your leadership skills. Learn how to deal effectively with different stakeholders, develop commercial skills and improve your management skills. You will have the opportunity to take on projects independently and mentor first-year YEPpers to further develop your leadership skills. This year is dedicated to your personal development plan, specializing in Data or Financial Transformation.

Within 2 years you will advance as a management consultant with 4 years of experience in your pocket!
