Why you want to work as a Business Controller
You have extensive experience in transforming challenging financial issues into efficient processes, procedures, reporting and strategies. You find it challenging to improve, standardize and increase the reliability of financial information. In addition, you like executing those issues at varying leading companies and organizations in clearly defined assignment of 3 months to a year that you can fully commit to.
This is what you will do
As senior business controller, you are the financial and business conscience of an organization. You are responsible for reliable financial management and accountability information. Your focus is on the best financial solutions in the short and long term, without losing sight of the interests of the organization. You give solicited and unsolicited advice and help the financial department to the next phase. You are also an accessible interlocutor, you dare to ask critical questions and do not avoid discussion. In short, you are the strategic pivot of the financial team.
- You are ultimately responsible for preparing, monitoring and overseeing budgets, forecasts and business plans.
- You will guide the use and/or setup of clear and insightful dashboards.
- You analyze and review financial and non-financial data.
- You translate this data into organizational objectives.
- You play an important role in increasing business acumen.
- You are an important discussion partner for management and/or directors, taking them through the numbers and providing them with corresponding advice.
- You want to continue to develop within business control also like to help colleagues develop within this field.

What we ask
- You have a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Management Studies, Econometrics or similar.
- You have at least five years of experience as a business controller or similar position.
- You are able to spar with all levels of the organization: from the leaders in the boardroom to the employees in the department.
- You are results-oriented, can prioritize well, make decisions independently and keep your commitments.
- You have a positive and pragmatic attitude and great problem-solving skills in the risk domain.
- You command respect through not only excellent analytical skills, but also through your good communication skills.
