In a market where many parties limit themselves to consulting, ConQuaestor takes an approach that goes further. We don't just offer strategic advice, but ensure that the implementation is successful and the client can proceed independently. Mariska Seijsener, Director Managing Partner, explains what she believes is the strength of ConQuaestor and how their approach unburdens clients.

Mariska started her career with big names in consulting, including Big Four firms. She eventually chose ConQuaestor over a larger organization because of its dynamism, pragmatism and ability to move quickly. "ConQuaestor was a 'new kid on the block' at the time. In a short time we have grown into a serious player with a dedicated team and relevant assignments with leading clients," says Mariska.
ConQuaestor's client- and result-oriented approach dovetails perfectly with Mariska's own vision. "Where other consulting firms often try to fit clients into an existing model, we first listen to what the client really needs. Then we determine which model fits best to achieve the client's goal," says Mariska.
In-depth development
Within ConQuaestor, Mariska built teams and propositions, always focused on achieving real change for clients. After ConQuaestor's success, she decided to broaden her horizons at other agencies, but she soon found that her entrepreneurship there clashed with the approach: "We made great plans, but without sufficient attention to execution, they often remained on paper. I wanted to go beyond consulting."
A unique approach
After setting up the consulting arm at another company, Mariska decided to return to ConQuaestor. According to her, the organization stands out for its combination of consulting and interim management, specifically focused on the CFO agenda, IT, finance and data. "Our professionals were often trained at larger consulting firms, but missed the next step there after writing advisory reports. At ConQuaestor, they do find that opportunity."
According to Mariska, clients who knock on ConQuaestor's door have often already had large consulting firms on the floor. "But implementation gets stuck," she explains. "With us, it doesn't stop at the advisory report. We make sure the internal organization is actively involved at all levels to achieve real change. This is how we work with the client to make the implementation a success."
A powerful combination
ConQuaestor is distinguished by the close collaboration between consultants and finance professionals. "We practice what we preach; we don't just advise on the finance function, we understand it from practice," explains Mariska. "Our consultants work together with our interim professionals, who are active in finance functions. This allows us to respond quickly to the needs of our clients. We deliver the same quality as the big players, but with concrete, noticeable results for less. This is why I believe in the strength of ConQuaestor and am proud of our organization."
